Established in 2022, Happy Baby Social Nest in Ventura County's first play-based enrichment experience rooted in research supported best practices in early childhood development. Happy Baby Social Nest (HBSN) is a Ventura County-based mobile early childhood enrichment program where play has a purpose. Created for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grown-ups who love them, HBSN brings families together through hands-on, sensory-rich experiences designed to support the whole child. Our classes and enrichment experiences combine music, movement, sensory exploration, social connection, and open-ended play in a fun, welcoming environment where children can explore, discover, and learn at their own pace. But HBSN is more than a play class. We believe the everyday moments of play between children and their caregivers are powerful opportunities for learning and connection. Our experiences are intentionally designed to help children build early social-emotional skills, communication, confidence, creativity, fine and gross motor skills, problem-solving, and curiosity while giving caregivers new ways to engage and play with their children. Our caregiver-and-child classes give little ones the opportunity to play alongside other children while caregivers connect with other local families. Depending on the class or event, families may explore sensory bins, sing and dance together, play with bubbles, move scarves and ribbons, enjoy parachute play, experiment with hands-on activities, or simply follow their child’s curiosity through open-ended play. Because HBSN is mobile, we also bring purposeful play directly into the community. We partner with schools, preschools, early learning programs, homeschool groups, organizations, and community events to provide on-site enrichment, family engagement experiences, workshops, and interactive play activities. We also offer special play experiences for celebrations and gatherings, making it easy for families and organizations to create meaningful experiences without having to plan all the activities themselves.
